Welcome to the 13 Days of Halloween series. This year has felt especially unusual, so I’m focused on simple, festive ideas you can enjoy at home. Bri from Parties With A Cause and I are sharing daily Halloween inspiration to help you celebrate safely and have fun with family.
Today we’re sharing a delicious Halloween snack idea: a spooky-themed charcuterie board. We’ve been hosting family game nights and movie nights at home, and this board was a hit during a recent game of Clue. My youngest, who is just learning to read, teamed up with me and everyone loved grazing from this platter. It’s easy to assemble and makes a great centerpiece for a cozy night in.

How to put together a Halloween Cheese Tray
In my latest YouTube video you can watch the full process of assembling this Halloween charcuterie board. I used a mix of cheeses, cured meats, crackers, fruit, pumpkin seeds, and black olives styled with a few small props for a festive touch.
Newsletter subscribers get printable Halloween cheese labels. I designed them as a simple black-and-white printable; I printed mine on marbled orange paper and folded them to slip a decorated toothpick through the label so it sits neatly on the cheese wedge.

I folded each label in half and glued the open edge so it could snugly hold a spider-topped toothpick. Sign up to receive these Halloween cheese labels if you’d like printable copies for your board.

One of the things I love about charcuterie boards is how simple they are to assemble. I usually place cheeses first and then fill around them with meats, crackers, fruit, nuts, and other small bites. For this Halloween board I used Brie with wild mushrooms and French Roquefort from Trader Joe’s, along with a selection of crackers and fresh fruit.

Other Ideas for your Halloween Charcuterie Board
A Halloween-themed meat and cheese tray works well with many different ingredients. Using colors and shapes that feel seasonal will give the board a spooky look without a lot of effort. Consider adding any of the following:
- Bugles (they resemble claws or witch hats)
- Mandarin orange slices for pops of bright color
- Pickles for a tangy contrast
- Cheddar or other firm cheeses cut into festive shapes
- Dried apricots for chew and color
- Dates for sweetness and texture

Simple styling tricks—like grouping items by color, using small bowls for seeds or olives, and adding a few themed props—go a long way toward creating a festive look.
Bri from Parties With A Cause also shared a healthy Halloween snack: “Fish Eye” pudding cups made with chia and coconut that look spooky and are kid-friendly.
