Mom’s recipe

- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon chopped pimento
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives or onion
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, chopped pimento, chives or onion, milk, melted butter, pepper, and salt.
- Stir until you reach the texture you prefer. For a smooth, pâté-like spread, stir longer. For a chunkier texture, mix lightly.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with crackers.
